  I am Linda Knierim from Grinnell, Iowa. By education and profession, I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. I learned to sew as a very small child from the grand women in my family.  I used these skills throughout my life to sew clothing and crafts.  I began exploring how my rusty skills could be used in the world of quilting 15 years ago as a way to cope with what was going on in my life at that time.  And, at last, I found a way to reduce stress and to take me outside myself for bits of time.  My journey has led me through traditional quilts into the world of art quilting where I find myself inspired by nature and life.  I love working with all kinds of fibers and learning new techniques.  I hope you enjoy some of my small pieces for the small spaces in your life.
