Hi!
I’m a Midwestern girl, I wear black – always have - always will. But I’ve always accessorized with color, a fabulous scarf, a great handbag, I’ve even got about 100 pair of shoes in wonderful colors. That’s why I have always made jewelry to go with my outfits – whether they be earrings, necklaces, pins or bracelets.

I also like art and fabric. I have made things ever since I was a child (long ago :-) ) with my mother and grandmother. I can remember sitting on the floor being covered with fabric, getting all excited about what I would make. I started making Barbie doll clothes to create a Queen and her court…with feathers, opulent fabric, sequins, pearls…well, enough about that…but I enjoyed it and now I also make pillows – but with a little bit of FUN!

Besides my jewelry making and pillows I also paint… on anything! You will find funky angels on fabric, dogs and cats on pillows, funny sayings on signs, furniture and what ever comes into my life at the time. I just love to mix colors and find something to paint.

Well – that’s my story... Just Louis Designs is not mass-produced; I only make what comes to me and when I get bored with something…which means you won’t see ‘your’ piece all over the place, which means everyone else will envy you, which means you’ll be really cool...but being cool won’t cost you much! I just want to make enough to retire and live on an Island in the Caribbean! (Ya…who doesn’t!)

I like being a ‘boutique’ business, I love making unusual and interesting pieces, I love having great contact with my customers, I love the feedback, I love that I can introduce new pieces whenever I want! Great designs that are easy to care for, that will get attention but will not cost you a fortune.

Ok, stop reading right now and go buy a piece or two of my stuff so I can go to the island!

I have a love for Angels. They watch over us and are with us everyday. I have a fun way of seeing them all dressed up and “funky”….with angelic smiles, long legs, big wings and very large feet! My angels are all hand painted (by me) and come in a 4x6 hanging pillow - stuffed with fiber fill and ready to hang with ribbon. This is the Angel of Rain – Af Bri.
