Hi! My simple goal in designing and making furniture for a living is - make it comfortable, attractive, and durable. The Cherry I use in my furniture is sourced from offal generated by large US furniture manufacturers. The Teak comes from a managed forest in Indonesia. And the fabric is Sunbrella, guaranteed not to fade rot or mildew.
Over the years (22, but who's counting) I have accumulated 13 US and Canadian Patents and many many Testimonials from my customers (including Doctors, Chiropractors and Therapists) for my ergonomic designs.
Until now I have been selling my furniture, almost exclusively, at highly juried art shows throughout the Northeast and Midwest. (When potential customers have the opportunity to actually sit in my chairs - they sell themselves!) But now I'm ready to cut back my show schedule a little and see if there is enough "word of mouth" out there in the marketplace to sell my furniture online.
I produce all the furniture in my shop in Schenevus, NY. Every piece is double dipped in Watco Marine Teak Oil and with simple maintenance can be safely used outdoors as well as indoors. In all my years in business I have never charged any of my customers for repairs.
