Candles & Creations opened in the fall of 2007 in the Blue Mall in South Burlington, Vermont after Heather Paine of Dragonfly Candles (formerly Dragonfly Gifts of Vermont) and Casey Webster of CW Creations forged a mission driven union utilizing art to create wellness while giving back to the community. Candles & Creations features Heather’s exquisite palm wax candles, Casey’s beautiful and inspirational jewelry and showcases an upscale product variety created by 50 other talented Vermont artists. The store also houses an open studio, an enchanted children’s corner, and a welcoming room which doubles as a meeting room and a wellness practitioner space.
Quite notably a very unique Vermont boutique, Candles & Creation’s mission is to use economic prosperity to form a community nexus for art, philanthropy, and wellness. This mission is being accomplished through powerful initiatives which combine fund raising, public awareness, creativity, and positive spirit.
Both being very spirited artisan women, in the summer of 2008 Heather and Casey launched Spirited Living, Incorporated – the mission driven corporation which encompasses Candles & Creations, Dragonfly Candles, and CW Creations. Spirited Living, Inc. is committed to giving back 15% of gross profits to non-profit organizations and philanthropic programs throughout Vermont. Spirited Living, Inc. is represented by each of the owners in the Women Business Owner’s Network and the Vermont Arts Council, and is a member of both the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility.
